FAFSA NIGHT
NOVEMBER 7TH  4:30PM - 7PM AT CAPITAL HIGH SCHOOL

For any graduating senior who will be continuing their education at any 2 or 4-year school next year.

Experts from the Financial Aid Office at The Evergreen State College will be at CHS on Wednesday, November 7th for two sessions (4:30 - 5:30 & 6:00 - 7:00).  They will help the student and their guardians actually complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in that meeting.  The FAFSA is the only way colleges are able to award financial aid such as grants, loans and in some cases even scholarships and we are here to help you with this complex process.

Space is limited so please RSVP to this event here

Our goal as a Career Center is to have all students leave Capital High School College and Career Ready. Success in the new economy requires a combination of academic knowledge and technical ability. It includes self and career exploration - the combination of interests/abilities & education/training. College & Career Readiness includes assisting students in creating a well-articulated plan for post-secondary training and providing supports to ensure success.

What Do We Do?

The Career Center is an in-school resource for both CHS students and their parents. We offer information regarding a wide variety of subjects, including: Career Exploration and Future Planning, College Information, Financial Aid Information, and Employment Opportunities. The Career Center can provide you with information regarding apprenticeships, the military, college alternatives, the FAFSA, scholarships, 4-year public and private institutions versus 2-year vocational and technical schools as well as resume, cover letter, and interview assistance. The Career Center also has many career self-help books, SAT and ACT study guides, college and scholarship resource books, and applications readily available to the student body. We hope you find what you are looking for, and are here to help you along the way!
