Our goal as a Career Center is to have all students leave Capital High School College and Career Ready. Success in the new economy requires a combination of academic knowledge and technical ability. It includes self and career exploration - the combination of interests/abilities & education/training. College & Career Readiness includes assisting students in creating a well-articulated plan for post-secondary training and providing supports to ensure success.

What Do We Do?

The Career Center is an in-school resource for both CHS students and their parents. We offer information regarding a wide variety of subjects, including: Career Exploration and Future Planning, College Information, Financial Aid Information, and Employment Opportunities. The Career Center can provide you with information regarding apprenticeships, the military, college alternatives, the FAFSA, scholarships, 4-year public and private institutions versus 2-year vocational and technical schools as well as resume, cover letter, and interview assistance. The Career Center also has many career self-help books, SAT and ACT study guides, college and scholarship resource books, and applications readily available to the student body. We hope you find what you are looking for, and are here to help you along the way!
