FAQ's

How can my student make up a Fitness Class absence?

  • Make up days are on Wednesdays during Coug Time.
  • Students need to be dressed down and meet the teacher outside the locker rooms. What your son or daughter will do for make-up will be determined by the teacher, weather and space available. Students are asked to sign in for make-up days, they will find the sign in sheet with the instructor. Only excused absences or excused non-dresses can be made up.

Is it required to have a uniform?

  • Yes, required PE shirts are part of our program for safety and hygiene. Students can wear shorts/sweatpants and sweatshirts of their choice. They must be wearing appropriate athletic type shoes- tennis/running/court shoes, vans and converse type shoes are acceptable. No crocs, sandals, boots, or other heeled shoes allowed.
  • PE shirts can be purchased in the ASB office for $5. If there is a financial need, speak with the ASB secretary for options.

What happens if I don't have clothes?

  • Students will receive a non-suit for the day. If there is a financial need, H&F staff and ASB can provide assistance.

If my student has a sport after school can that count as a PE make-up?

  • No, because athletic and fitness programs have different goals and objectives.
