OSD Summer School: 2024 Information (details below)

 

 

High School: Summer School Program (Grades 9-12)

Update 7/1/2024: Secondary Summer School registration closes on Wednesday, July 3 at 4:00 p.m. Please contact Denise Freund at 360-878-2884 if you have any questions.

 

Secondary Summer school is open to all students who will be in grades 9-12 in the 2024-25 school year, as well as to current seniors (Class of 2024) who need additional credits to graduate.

 


*Please check with your counselor to verify the correct courses you are needing to take.

All courses utilize computer-based instruction that can be completed remotely or in person. In-person assistance is available at ORLA Mon-Thurs, 9am-12pm, and all TESTING must be completed in person. Students should plan to work approximately 3 hours per day, totaling roughly 50 hours to complete each course.

 

  • Dates and Times: July 8 - August 15, 2024. Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Cost: Credit recovery = $150. Free/Reduced-Price lunch students= $0.

Initial credit= $150. Free/Reduced-Price lunch students= $50.

 

*PLEASE NOTE: NO GRADE REPLACEMENT COURSES WILL BE OFFERED.

Courses must be completed by August 15, 2024.

Elementary School: Summer School Program (Grades 1-4)

 

This program is FREE OF CHARGE and open to current OSD students in grades 1-4. At this time students must be recommended by their teacher to attend.

 

  • Dates and Times: July 8 - July 25, 2024. Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (time subject to change).
  • Grades 1-4: current OSD students who are reading below grade level or need additional support.
  • Lunch will be provided at no cost 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.).
  • Transportation is not provided.

 

If you are interested in the program please speak to your child’s teacher to discuss if they feel that your child should be recommended to attend summer school.
