Capital High School Giving Tree Program 2024

Dear Families,

We are so proud of the incredibly supportive family community we have here at Capital High School. We have a wonderful tradition of helping our families in need by providing holiday gifts to students. This letter outlines our program – both for families in need and for families who wish to help.

If you would like to contribute to our holiday gift efforts, beginning November 10th, We will be accepting donations of $25 Target gift cards. Please drop off to any of the following locations: Registrar's office, Attendance office, and Main office. Please have donations delivered no later than December 13th. This way we can organize distribution. More donation opportunities are expected to come soon.

If your family is experiencing challenges and wish to Participate, please fill out The Google Request form here: Capital High School 2024 Giving Tree Request Form by end of day November 23,2024.

We are only able to consider students for the program who attend CHS. If you have students who are in elementary or Middle school and do not attend CHS, please contact the school they attend for gift assistance.

If you have questions, please call Jody Chipman CHS Counseling Assistant, at (360) 596-8027 or email at: [email protected] or Sarah Sadlemyer CHS Registrar at (360)596-8023 or email at: [email protected]

CHS Theatre

Capital High School Theatre is proud to present DramaFest 2024 on November 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at 7 PM, with an additional matinee performance at 2 PM on the 23rd. All performances will be held at the CHS Performing Arts Center, 2707 Conger Ave Olympia, WA.

DramaFest 2024 is made up of three different plays, all student-written and directed!

The Secret Number

When a brilliant mathematician descends into madness, he finds an integer that exists between three and four that could alter reality itself. This mind-bending thriller follows his psychiatrist as he struggles to figure out what’s real while the line between obsession and reality blurs.

An Ordinary Day: An Ordinary Play

This black comedy is a really dumb Hero’s Journey starring Bob Roberts, a bored preteen living in a typical boring town. After complaining about wanting some adventure, he’ll soon go through a day of conflict, humor, and thrills, learning that adventure is always around the corner- if you look around, that is.

The Same World

What appears to be a petty girl fight gives way into a myriad of contrasting perspectives as those involved recount their version of the day's events. This fourth-wall-breaking show explores the complexity of the human experience and the effect stereotyping and assumptions have on our world.
