Cultivating Success, Honoring Diversity, Serving Others

We Are Capital.

“True community is based upon equality, mutuality, and reciprocity. It affirms the richness of individual diversity as well as the common human ties that bind us together.” - Pauli Murray

A Message from Capital Administration

  • We encourage parents to join the OSD Citizens Advisory Group to provide feedback on the proposed balanced school calendar. Please click HERE for more information.
  • Please see the latest equity information from the OSD.
  • Please take a moment to review the Olympia School District balanced calendar details and informative video.
  • Senior Lunch Account Refunds:  Parents/guardians may want to request a refund if their student has a balance on their account.  They also have the option of transferring to a sibling within the district.  They can go to the Child Nutrition website on the OSD webpage to fill out the google form or use this link
  • Please check out our CHS Parent Organization website with special upcoming events sponsored by our CHSPO.
  • Parents – Please remember to pay all of your student’s fines and fees by the end of the year.
  • The Annual Olympia School District Ice Cream Social is scheduled for Monday, May 23, 2022. This year the social will be taking place, in person, at the Olympia High School Commons from 4:30-6 p.m. During the event, the Olympia School Board will honor dedicated staff members who are retiring this year. An advocate of the year from each of our schools will also be recognized, and the Olympia Education Association will recognize its Teacher of the Year.  Don’t forget to bring an appetite because ice cream (with all the fixings) will be served! OSD staff and families are encouraged to attend and support our retirees and advocates. We hope to see you all at OHS on May 23!
  • ASB would like to recognize CHS students (especially seniors) for being Caring, Committed, or Courageous. If your senior does something great in the community such as volunteering, or runs a business, or maybe does a sport/activity apart from the school and so isn't always recognized, please let us know. Email Mr. Parker at [email protected] with your student's name and maybe some background information so that they might be recognized at an upcoming assembly.
  • ASB is also planning a senior slideshow for our last assembly, and would like to include a picture of every senior. Please submit pictures of seniors (they can be elementary, middle, or high school photos), especially group shots that include multiple seniors.
  • Freshmen orientation videos:

Rotary Interact

  • CHS Rotary is partnering with Congo Threads, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women and children in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Half of the profits raised will go to supporting their Bring The Babies Home initiative that works to release women and their newborns from the hospital, allowing them to return home to their families. The other half will be donated to the Ishara Houses that help provide shelter and services for the women and children who need it most. Make a global impact by scanning the QR code or following the provided directions and donating, no matter the size. All money raised will go to support this cause.
