Diploma Pickup Information
Seniors - your diploma will be available for pickup at CHS!
Please pick up your diploma at the Registrar’s Window located in the main foyer at the front of the school.

Senior Fest - June 5th
All Juniors and Seniors that want to play in the Buff Puff Boys Volleyball game or the Powder Puff Girls Spikeball Tournament need to sign up with Mrs Turcotte in E-1. There are permission slips that do need to be signed and returned to be able to play. The events take place on Friday, June 5th during the SeniorFest BBQ.

IB News
The exam season has ended!
78 amazing students chose to compete at the international level to demonstrate their academic knowledge and abilities in over 50 hours of testing. Kudos to them all for taking on such a significant and rewarding challenge!
IB Coordinator Ms. Young will facilitate IB transcripts being sent to colleges and scores will be released July 6th.
The class of 2027 now begins their journey in earnest, and Diploma Candidates have upcoming Extended Essay work days and progress assignments (watch this space!).
Before all of that though, we will celebrate with our end of the year IB Banquet on the evening of Monday, June 1st. Watch for flyers and more newsletter updates. It's going to be a "Dino-mite" Potluck!

Yearbook Information
CHS Families!! Yearbook sales are wrapping up! So far only 298 students have purchased yearbooks!! We will have a very limited number to purchase on distribution day. If you still like to purchase a yearbook, please visit https://yearbookforever.com. It's important to make sure you select the school in the drop down that you select "Capital High School" in Olympia.

Senior Graduation Cords
Graduation cords will be on sale in the ASB office for $7 starting May 26th.
- Gold: 4.000 - 3.500
- Blue: IB Diploma Candidate
- Silver: IB Course Candidate
CHS Athletic Department News
Register for Summer Workouts/Open Gyms
Once in Final Forms you will need to choose Summer 2026-27 and select the sport.
Please follow ALL of the steps to ensure your student is registered correctly.
Go to: www.finalforms.com
- Login into your account or create a new account.
- Provide all the required information. Both you and your student must sign the online forms.
- Upload a valid sports physical. A sports physical is valid for 13 months from the date of examination.
- There is no payment for ASB or open gym/workouts.
- Once your student's registration has been reviewed, you will receive an email indicating they are cleared for Spring Sports.
Please keep in mind this is for SUMMER only. You will need to register your student for Fall Sports, starting August 1.
Mark your calendar for the FREE SPORTS PHYSICAL EVENT on June 6.
CHS Link Crew
If you are interested in Link Crew for the 26/27 school year and helping with the 8th grade tours on May 27th, make sure you sign up on the google form! You also must purchase a t-shirt by this Friday, May 1st. All Link Leaders must have the gold shirt. You need to put your size on the google form and pay the $15 at the ASB office. Free and reduced lunch students must put your size on the google form and go to the ASB to get in the system with Mrs. Grods.

News from the CCRC
ALL STUDENTS
High School and Beyond Plan
- Each grade level will be required to complete tasks yearly to maintain a record of research and planning for life after high school. Tasks are assigned to students via SchooLinks, and lessons are taught during High School & Beyond Plan lessons during English classes.
- The High School and Beyond Plan is a Washington State Graduation Requirement, and CANNOT be waived.
- If a student fails to complete their HSBP requirement, they will not graduate.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
- CHS Scholarship Webpage: The CCRC website lists several scholarship sites. Check it out and apply to more online!
- OSD Scholarship List 25-26: Updated regularly by Olympia School District
- The Larson's Family Scholarship is for seniors interested in Political Science or Government work. It is Due on May 6th. Come into the CCRC ASAP to get the information.
- College/Trade School Scholarships: Believe in Me is due May 15th. Designed for 1st Generation students, including those who have demonstrated grit and determination in overcoming adversity. Students with a 2.75 GPA or GED are eligible. Come get your application from the CCRC.

9th-11th GRADE STUDENTS
It's never too early to talk with college representatives about their institution. Here are some Spring Fairs that you can sign up to attend on your own.
PNACAC SPRING COLLEGE FAIRS-Free and open to the public. Pick the city and fair you want to attend and then register for this event.
Senior Prom - May 30th
Senior Prom will be on Saturday, May 30th from 8pm-10:30pm at the Lacey Community Center. This Midnight Masquerade will be a night filled with dancing, photos and fun. Tickets will be available to purchase on Monday, May 11th. They are $30 with ASB and $35 w/o ASB. Students on free and reduced lunch will receive a free ticket and will get these from the ASB office.
We need parent chaperone's for our Senior Prom! This year the dance is being held at the Lacey Community Center from 8pm-10:30pm. Please email Katie Turcotte if you are able to help-
