CHS Speech and Debate Team

  • Our very own Rahma Gaye is the STATE CHAMPION of the Washington State Speech and Debate Tournament!
    • She won 1st at districts and now 1st at state with her speech, "What's in a Name?"  The speech talks about her experience of being a young Black Muslim woman in America and the need for more positive representation.
    • She is now qualified for the NATIONAL SPEECH AND DEBATE TOURNAMENT!
  • Sophomore Meredith Morgan, having taken 1st place at districts in extemporaneous speaking, also qualified for Nationals!
  • Congratulations to both of these incredible young women for representing Capital and the Olympia School District so well!

CHS Dance Team

CHS Archery

  • On Sunday March 6th, the CHS archery team competed in a NASP remote State competition. These scores were sent in to the State organizers and here are the results from across the state:

    • Jonas Brown
      • 10th place high-school boys.
    • Maddison Moffett
