Capital Productions proudly presents: Radium Girls

This is a poster for the Radium Girls play at Capital High school By D.W. Gregory

Based on true events, this story takes us to the U.S. Radium Corporation from 1918 to 1928.  Radium, a new “miracle” substance, is mined and used as a glow in the dark paint for wartime watches.  Painting these watch dials is an ideal job for young women, but when they start becoming ill, Grace (Gracen Bayers) takes the corporation to court.  This drama takes us through the complexities of fighting for workplace safety and a corporate leader’s desire to keep his company alive.

The show runs October 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, and 19.  Each performance starts at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the Performing Arts Auditorium at Capital High School, 2707 Conger Ave N.W., Olympia.  Tickets are $8 for students and senior citizens and $10 for general admission. Visit the Capital Theatre website at or call the box office at (360) 596-8053 for more information.  Tickets can be purchased at the door, from the ASB Office or through PARKING:  Due to the construction, please park in the upper lot and enter through the main school entrance. This will be the most direct and accessible route to the theatre.  Please share this information to everyone you know who might be attending the production.
