Open Source Initiative

Open Source is a special type of Software with a special type of copyright license. The most common of which is the GNU GPL. (General Public Liscense.) Anything under the GPL(the common short name) can be downloaded and used for free. The other part of the GPL is that it may be freely re-distributed, as long as you give credit to the original creator. The third major component is, the source code(the programming that makes the application work) is free to be seen and edited.

In this section, various tutorials, resources, and support will be offered for the us of Open Source Technologies. Including where to obtain applications for specific needs (for example, CamStudio for Windows screencasting) and what they are capable of. This page is also presently in construction, and as a result is subject to updates in the future. Thank you for your patience with this project.
