Philosophy
The Business Department has two broad objectives:
1) To prepare students academically to enter some form of post-secondary training, and
2) To prepare students to become entry level employees.
In more specific terms, it is our belief that:
- Students should be allowed to progress at their own pace under strict guidelines developed between student and teacher
- Students should be held accountable for their time and that the time accountability requirement be reflected in their evaluation
- Students should be trained in the area of appropriate business-like attitudes
- Students are individuals and should be treated as such
- Students should be guided and encouraged in their career goals
- Students should be encouraged to work within and support the American economic system
- Students should be given an opportunity to gain leadership skills through Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
