      • Participate in a class discussion related to social media in the political process.
        1. View a video clip related to the use of social media in politics and respond to viewing guide questions using Facebook posts or Tweets as their format for presenting ideas.
        2. Access candidate websites and discuss the role social media is playing in each campaign.
        3. Discuss the importance of appropriate responses that encourage positive democratic discourse
        4. Respond to candidate campaign posts using replies of their own and posting them in a classroom display area.
