Daniel Grimm

I have a BA in youth and family counseling from The Evergreen State College, a Masters degree from City University in Education / Special Education, a teaching certificate from Saint Martins University and my administrative credentials from Seattle Pacific University.  I worked for 10 years as a children's mental health professional setting up experiential education programs for at risk youth.  I then became the Behavior Specialist for the Olympia School District before coming to Capital High School as the Dean of Student's.  I have been at CHS since 2002.

Through structure, predictability, rituals and routines, children will learn and grow.  I believe that today's youth know when we are being "real" and "true".  They trust and believe in adults who truly care about them.  My goal is to be that adult.
