Minutes from October 10th ASB Meeting!

Halloween Dance (October 29- 9:30-12:00)
                -“Keep It Clean” with student enforcers to help manage inappropriate dancing
                -Costumes will be encouraged but not mandatory
                -Other activities will be offered (Ping Pong, movies, ect.)

                -Talked about Pay to Play and where our money goes
                                -Total brought in last year= $65, 975
                                -Capital got back $31,623 (51.7%); Olympia School District recieved $30,542(48.2%)
-The money needed for sports transportation= $46,599 (The extra $14,099 came from building fund)
                -Why does Olympia School District get 48% of the money?
                                -Goes to benefit the General Fund
                                                -Pays for Coaches Salaries ($237,699)
                                                -Pays for Renting Facilities ($9,285)
                -If trainers are needed, money will come from the ASB fund
                -During the budget decisions for next year, issue of trainers will be brought to the table
Dances in General
                -Brings in money for other events/ Homecoming brings in most money
                -Every dance is social and fundraiser
                -Some dances in past have failed due to students not wanting to attend
                                -This can be helped with the atittude towards the dance
