Automobile Project

1) Get into a group of 4 or 5 students

2) Determine a method to gather a random sample of 30 cars from the lower parking lot

3) Collect the following data for each car

a. Make

b. Model

c. Color

d. Year (found in rear taillight)

4) You will create a small report about the data you collect. It will include the following:

a. Introduction - explain the purpose of the project, and the method you used to gather data

b. Data table - organize the data so that it can be used

c. Graphs - create two graphs that display some aspect of the data you collected

d. Conclusion - what did the data tell you about the cars in the parking lot; write at least one conclusion

e. Validity - talk about the validity of your method of data collection and your results; are there things you could have done better, or are there errors that affected your results?
