Capital High School's student government consists of four ASB members plus a
president, vice president, secretary/treasurer, and 5 senators from each class.
Two technology positions are appointed. Elections for next year's10-12th graders
is in May and appointed positions for 9th graders is in the fall.
Card Games

Cultural Awareness

Goals of the club are to raise cultural awareness, fundraise for charities,
and give back to the community.
Debate

Capital's speech and debate team competes at the regional, state, and national level as a member of the Washington State Forensic Association and the National Forensic League. We practice Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday after school, and have meetings during Club schedules. Come on by and check it out. There's simply no better way to boost your confidence, intelligence, and eloquence.
DECA

DECA is an association of marketing students and is a fun student leadership
club, which develops leadership, increases knowledge, and gives job experience.
Members participate in challenging opportunities and activities including traveling
to conferences and other social outings.

Environmental

Advisor: Hook
Students interested in reducing the environmental impact of Capital High School
and the Olympia community in general may participate. The purpose of the club
is to promote environmental awareness among students and club members.
FBLA

Future Business Leaders of America is a business club that offers a great chance
to make new friends, compete in business subjects (regional and state), attend
conferences, and develop leadership skills. This is an exceptional club to be
in if you are planning on going to college or in a business career. Membership
is open to all students.

Honor Society

Honor society is a club for student who excel academically and in areas of leadership
and service. Students must maintain a 3.5 GPA and show evidence of good character,
service, and leadership.
Horticulture/FFA

President: Ryan Smith
FFA (Future Farmers of America) makes a positive difference in the lives of
students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth,
and career success through agricultural education. Horticulture Club/FFA students
participate in recreation and service projects with funds earned from thee springplant
sale. Students are also encouraged to join the National FFA to participate in
Career Development Events and Leadership Camp.

Key Club is a service organization which is sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club.
Their objective is the development of initiative, leadership ability, and good
citizenship practices.

Peace Club

People Encouraging Awareness and Cultivation Equality (Peace) Club, developed
a group that would spread awareness on social and economic issues occurring
in the world today. This club raises money for organizations such as Adopt-A-Minefield,
Make Trade Fair, Hurricane Katrina, and Hurricane Rita.

This club is for the students interested in community service. The Red Cross
club does many fundraisers throughout the year and is involved in the Thurston
County Youth Organization. Red Cross also has two blood drives in the year.
