NAME: Delta Upsilon Fraternity - University of Washington
AWARD: 1 each at $1,000, $750, $500, $250.
CRITERIA: Male senior from the state of WA, entering the Univ. of WA in the fall of 2008, personal merit and academic qualifications, and well balanced extracurricular activities. You DO NOT have to join Delta Upsilon Frat or any other Greek institution to be considered.

NAME: Seafair Scholarship Program for Young Women
AWARD: Varies
CRITERIA: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older as of August 2, 2009. Must be US citizen or permanent resident; be able to show proof of enrollment at a post secondary institution for fall 2009. Applicants will be judged on interview, academic review, community service presentation, creative expression performance, speaking ability and presence, and attendance and mentor meetings. NAME: Nordstrom Scholarship for Juniors
AWARD: $10,000 (paid at $2,500 per year for four years)
CRITERIA: Current High School JUNIORS. Eligible students must have and maintain a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 2.7 to 4.0 throughout high school, require financial assistance to attend college, attend accredited four-year college or university in the United States during all years for which the scholarship is awarded, not have a conviction for any crime, and currently reside and attend school in Washington. Must complete financial information form and if selected, participate in an interview.
DUE DATE: Summer after junior year of high school (after July 1, before September 30).
NAME: Evans (Golf Caddie) Scholarship –WA State Golf Association
AWARD: Full four year scholarship to either Univ. of WA, or WA State Univ.
CRITERIA: You may request an information brochure, but we have no applications here. Applications may be obtained by calling the Washington State Golf Association headquarters at (206) 526-8605 in Seattle, or 1-800-643-6410. Please read carefully.
In order to be nominated to receive an Evans Scholarship, an applicant must:
- Be trained and certified as a caddie; caddie as much as possible (a minimum of 25 loops a year, or a total of 50 loops for two years). If the club does not have an active caddie program, the individual can caddie for the golf pro, club manager, golfing members, etc. to fulfill this necessary requirement.
- Have completed his/her junior year in high school and rank in the upper 25% of her/his class.
- Demonstrate a financial need.
- Have outstanding personal character, integrity, and leadership abilities. These qualities must have been proven through extracurricular, civic or community activities.
In order to obtain an application, the PGA Golf Professional or club official the candidate is working with at the club must request the application from the Western State Golf Association.

NAME: Seattle Mariners Women’s Club (Bev & Wes Stock Scholarship)
AWARD: 1 @ $1,000
CRITERIA: Merit based scholarship for a graduating senior from WA state planning to pursue an ATHLETIC-RELATED CAREER and attend a college or university in the coming academic year. Will be given to a deserving athlete who displays good character both on and off the playing field, no matter what sport. Must submit essay, transcript, three letters of recommendation. Selection based on merit: curriculum, GPA, community service.

NAME: O.E.O.P.A. - Olympia Educational Office Personnel Assoc.
AWARD: Two @ $250
CRITERIA: Seniors with GPA of 3.0 or higher, who will attend either a four or two year college or university, or technical school and are graduating from Capital, Olympia, or Avanti.

NAME: Guildscholar-A Scholarship Program for Visually Impaired High School Students
AWARD: Twelve to fifteen scholarships up to $15,000 each
CRITERIA: (Note: An info sheet is available in the scholarship drawer, but for more info and to apply you must go to site listed below.) The Guild offers scholarships for college bound high school students who are legally blind. Applications are accepted from students at the end of their Junior year. Requirements: completion of application form online, proof of legal blindness, proof of citizenship or legal residency, documentation of academic achievement (transcript), three letters of recommendation, two personal statements. NAME: GET - Guaranteed Education Tuition
CRITERIA: NO APPLICATIONS HERE! . For information call toll free 1-877-GET-8848 or visit the web site at www.get.wa.gov. This is an investment program for parents with children age 1 year to college age. It is guaranteed by the state of Washington

2. Contact each college you are interested in attending and ask for their financial aid / scholarship package!
