Go to www.wois.org
- You must first get the site key (access code) from Ms. Garrett in the Career Center
- In the box on the left it will ask for your “Site Key”
- Next, in order to save your test results and career information, you need
to create a portfolio, or personal file, so click “create a new portfolio”
in the upper right corner and follow the directions to create your file on WOIS.
- When finished, click “Assessments” in the left-hand menu. Select
one of the following assessments:
- Career Interest Areas
- Interest Profiler
- Work Importance Locator
- Skills Assessment
- Career Interest Areas
- At the end of the interest assessment type your name in the box, then click
on “Find my interest areas.”
- Next page click “Save results to my portfolio” in the top right
corner.
- On the bar graph find you highest areas of interest (longest red bars).
- To see a few careers in your strongest areas of interest click on the career
path name next to your highest scores. You may click on any occupations that
interest you, read about them, and then save them to your portfolio.
- You may check out specific jobs by clicking on “Occupations” in
the upper right menu. You can also explore school programs and schools (any
of particular interest may also be saved to your portfolio)
