Sportsmanship

  • Celebration is allowed as long it doesn't get excessive
    • Excessive celebration limits to be determined by the judge
  • No smack talk
    • Negativity directed to other team's members or their robot
  • No whining
    • In losing one has the opportunity to learn, suck it up
  • Shake hands
    • Sew the seeds of tolerance through positive reinforcement of the competive process, win or lose

Teamwork

  • Divide work into equal parts
    • No more than three people on a team
    • Team task responsibilties
      1. Building team
      2. Programming team

Success

  • Victory solely is determined by the judge
    • Judge has the last word on decisions
  • Sumo
    • Robot pushed out
    • Last one in ring wins
    • Attached together when pushed out = tie
    • Locked up for more than 30 seconds = tie
